The Tricentennial ended in 1996. This site archives that history.

PG Tricentennial Prince George's County
Celebrates 300 years of history 1696-1996

Welcome from Stephen DelGiudice

Before 1996 even arrives, countless hours will have been expended by numbers of dedicated individuals making arrangements for Prince George's County's Tricentennial Celebration. I want to take this opportunity to thank those individuals who have helped plan the upcoming activities. Indeed, their commitment and dedication to serve this county is the same as the commitment, dedication and community spirit of Prince Georgians over the past 300 years.

It's hard to imagine this county is 300 years old, but we have much to celebrate about. We have grown from a rural agricultural community to a community of modern technology, with a diversity that blends people from all over the world.

I hope you and your family take the opportunity to celebrate our great heritage by participating in the many events that have been scheduled for the coming year.
