Greenbelt Center School
15 Crescent Road, Greenbelt (Board of Education)
Built in 1937 -- Greenbelt Center School is an L-shaped, concrete block building, a striking and outstanding example of streamlined Art Deco style. The main facade is ornamented with bas-relief panels sculpted by Lenore Thomas illustrating the preamble to the Constitution. The building is significant as an architectural and cultural landmark in an important planned community.
