OBSOLETE OBJECTS "OLDFANGLED: OBSOLETE OBJECTS FROM THE ATTICS AND CLOSETS OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY"

Come celebrate your past with those oldfangled objects you just don't know what to do with.

In celebration of the 300th birthday of Prince George's County, old attic and closet treasures will be displayed in an exhibition of personal and household objects dating from 1956 and earlier.

Sponsored by the Arts & Cultural Heritage Division of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, this curated exhibition will include selected entries from Prince George's County residents. Entries will be chosen based, in part, on considerations of variety, space limitations and safety of the objects. The final display will include outdated kitchen gadgets, antique toys and games, oldfangled appliances, vintage clothing, furniture, garden tools and other once familiar objects on loan from County residents.

This free exhibition will be on display at the Gallery at Harmony Hall Regional Center in Ft. Washington from April 19 to June 1, 1996. Come see what generations before cooked, cleaned, and played with. You'll be truly amazed!

Residents holding onto oldfangled objects should call (301) 454-1450, TTY (301) 454-1472 to receive an entry form. Deadline for entries is February 16, 1996.
