DESCRIPTION:Glenn Dale Day at Marietta House Museum \n  \nPlease join us for “Glenn Dale Day”\, celebrating our community on Saturday\, \nJuly 25\, 2015\, from 1pm. – 6pm.  This is a FREE admission event\, however food\, wine\, and crafts\, will be available for purchase.  Bring a lawn chair and/or blanket\, and enjoy a day celebrating where we live.   Listen to the lively sounds of the Blue Crab Jazz Band\, and AJQ Plus 1 Jazz Ensemble. \n  \nOur historic Marietta House will be open for tours. \n  \nMarietta is the 1813 home of Judge Gabriel Duvall\, a Supreme Court Justice and Comptroller of the Treasury.  Marietta stands on terraced\, landscaped grounds with two contemporary outbuildings: a brick law office and a stone and brick root cellar/harness storage room.  The grounds boast two County Champion trees and lovely old boxwood.  The family graveyard has been relocated to these serene surroundings. \n  \nCome early and visit our Glenn Dale Farmer’s Market on the grounds from \n9am – 1:00pm. \n  \nMarietta is located at 5626 Bell Station Road\, Glenn Dale\, MD  20769. \n  \nMarietta is a property of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. \n  \nPress Release \nJune 20\, 2015                                                                    Contact:   Stacey Hawkins \n301-395-9541 \nsl.hawkins@comcast.net \nMary Amen \n301-464-5291 \nmary.amen@pgparks.com \n  \n  \n  \n
