MARIETTA HOUSE MUSEUM & THE PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY PRESENT:

Author & Lecturer, Nathania Branch Miles, will discuss her book,   “PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, LIVING on the BORDER”.  Thursday, November 5, at 7:30pm. at Marietta House Museum.

Ms. Miles will give a presentation and discuss the research involved in her book, including her own family history.  Light refreshments will be served, and guests will have a chance to meet the author after the lecture.  $5/person.  Please call 301-464-5291 for more information and to reserve your space.

Nathania Branch Miles is currently with Howard University, and is on the Board of the        Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society. Ms. Miles is a researcher, lecturer, and author.

Marietta is the 1813 home of Judge Gabriel Duvall, a Supreme Court Justice and Comptroller of the Treasury.  Marietta stands on terraced, landscaped grounds with two contemporary outbuildings: a brick law office and a stone and brick root cellar/harness storage room.  The grounds boast two County Champion trees and lovely old boxwood.  The family graveyard has been relocated to these serene surroundings.
