Probably All Overcome by Heat” in August 1900.

            Thomas Cook, forty years old, of Upper Marlboro, Md., was overcome by the heat on the street this morning. The police of the first precinct book, him to the Emergency Hospital for treatment.

Frank Toy, seventy years old, whose home is at Lehigh, Pa., became ill at Pennsylvania avenue [sic] and 41/2 street this afternoon. The police took him to the Casualty Hospital in the patrol wagon.

James A. Early, twnety-five years old, living at Brandywine, Md., lso became ill today while at market. He was taken to the Emergency Hospital, where he received medical aid.
